What the credential actually means
A credential number tells you the company is registered and current. It carries no assessment of price, service quality or delivery reliability, and Connecticut does not endorse the holders.
The questions a register cannot answer
- What is the delivery minimum, and is there a small delivery charge on top of the per gallon price?
- What is the per gallon rate at 150 gallons and at a full fill, quoted in the same call?
- On automatic delivery, what does the contract say about running out, and who pays for the restart?
- On a prepaid or capped plan, what happens to gallons that are not used by the end of the season?
- Is there a service contract attached, is it optional, and what does it cost separately?
